Influencer & Creator Disclosure Policy
1. Purpose
Jaipuri Dhaaga works with influencers, content creators, brand ambassadors, and celebrities to promote our products across digital platforms including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and others.
This policy establishes the mandatory disclosure requirements for all individuals who create content promoting Jaipuri Dhaaga in exchange for payment, products, barter, commission, or any other material benefit — in compliance with the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) Guidelines for Influencer Advertising in Digital Media (2021) and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
|
This policy is binding on all creators who collaborate with Jaipuri Dhaaga. Failure to comply may result in termination of the collaboration and recovery of fees or products provided. |
2. Who This Policy Applies To
• Receives payment (cash, bank transfer, UPI) for creating content featuring Jaipuri Dhaaga products
• Receives free products, gifts, or PR packages from Jaipuri Dhaaga
• Receives products in exchange for content (barter collaboration)
• Earns affiliate commission or referral fees linked to Jaipuri Dhaaga sales
• Is appointed as a Brand Ambassador — paid or unpaid
• Receives invitations to events, shoots, or experiences sponsored by Jaipuri Dhaaga
Note: This applies regardless of follower count. Whether you have 1,000 or 1,000,000 followers, ASCI disclosure requirements are the same.
3. The Core Disclosure Rule
|
Every piece of promotional content must clearly disclose the commercial relationship with Jaipuri Dhaaga. Disclosure must be: prominent, upfront, and impossible to miss. |
ASCI defines a "material connection" as any relationship that could influence the content — including payment, free products, discounts, barter, commissions, or personal relationships with brand personnel. If a material connection exists, disclosure is mandatory — no exceptions.
4. Required Disclosure Labels by Collaboration Type

5. Platform-Specific Disclosure Placement
|

Label in first line of caption. Use Instagram's 'Paid Partnership' tag. |

|
YouTube Shorts |
Verbal disclosure + on-screen text overlay within first 5 seconds. |
|
Facebook Post / Reel |

|
Podcast / Audio |
Verbal disclosure at the start of the sponsored segment. |
|
Blog / Website |
Disclosure at the top of the post, before any brand mention. |
Key rule: Disclosure must be placed where a viewer will see it before engaging with the content — not buried in hashtags, not in the comments section, and not after a 'see more' fold.
6. What Is Not Acceptable
• Not disclosing at all — even if the content appears organic or genuinely positive
• Burying disclosure in hashtags — e.g., placing #Ad as the 15th hashtag in a list of 20
• Using vague or ambiguous labels — words like 'collab', 'partner', 'thanks to' do not meet ASCI standards
• Disclosure only in caption when content is a video — video content requires verbal or on-screen disclosure
• Disclosing after the fold — disclosure after 'see more' is not considered upfront
• Disclosing only in Stories highlights — if the original Story had no disclosure, adding it later in a Highlight is insufficient
• Using the brand's disclosure language to mislead — e.g., posting '#Gifted' when content was actually paid
7. Content Accuracy & Brand Representation
• Truthful and based on genuine personal experience with the product
• Not misleading regarding product quality, fit, colour, or delivery timelines
• Not making therapeutic, medical, or exaggerated benefit claims
• Consistent with the product descriptions on jaipuridhaaga.com
Jaipuri Dhaaga may review content before publication and request modifications if it contains inaccurate claims. Creators retain full editorial independence over their genuine opinions.
8. Jaipuri Dhaaga's Obligations
• Informing all creators of ASCI disclosure requirements before the collaboration begins
• Including disclosure requirements explicitly in all collaboration briefs and agreements
• Not requesting creators to omit or minimise disclosures to make content appear more organic
• Not penalising creators for honest negative feedback about our products
• Providing creators with accurate product information to enable truthful content
9. Consequences of Non-Compliance
1. Jaipuri Dhaaga will notify the creator and request immediate correction of the disclosure
2. The creator must correct the content within 24 hours of notification
3. Failure to correct within 24 hours will result in termination of the collaboration
4. In cases of deliberate non-disclosure, Jaipuri Dhaaga reserves the right to recover the value of products, fees, or commissions provided
5. Repeated or deliberate violations may be reported to ASCI
ASCI complaints can be filed at ascionline.in.
10. Quick Compliance Checklist for Creators

• For Stories — disclosure is an on-screen text overlay, not just a caption
• Language of disclosure matches language of content
• No false or exaggerated product claims are made
• Platform's native branded content / paid partnership tool is activated where available
